28 Feb Region 20 Generative AI Interactive Workshop
Join your friends from GTS Technology Solutions on April 4th for a day of upskilling around generative AI. Participants will experience three modules designed to increase understanding of AI fundamentals, practice with the most common tools, and consider the good, bad, and interesting implications of the technology. A light breakfast and lunch will be served, and you’ll leave with materials you can adapt to use for learning in your own districts.
With all the buzz about generative AI and the speed at which the technology is progressing, it can be hard to know where to start using the tools as an educator and/or introducing them to students. This experience is for you if:
- Your background is not in technology and you’re not sure where to start with the learning.
- You are concerned about the implications for classroom instruction and would like strategies to help the technology be used for good.
- You would love to tap into the productivity aspects of the tools, but you haven’t had time to learn and explore.
- You would like to know more about the workforce implications and how generative AI will impact the careers students enter.
- You are in a position to design learning for district staff on the technology, and you’re not sure where to start.
Join GTS’s Chief Education Strategist, Dr. Suzanne Newell, as she walks you through a new, free resource from GTS that can help you and your colleagues build understandings around generative AI and how it can be leveraged in your school setting. In her session, she’ll provide an overview of the resource and share it with you to use and/or adapt with your own colleagues.
This interactive workshop is intended for teams of district leaders, especially those in the fields of technology, curriculum and instruction, principal supervisors, superintendents and anyone else who wants to learn about how generative AI is impacting the education world for both students and teachers!
Please bring your computer, power cord, an open mind, and an empty stomach for a full day of learning with GTS Technology Solutions!
